Have you ever thought of meeting a singer whereyou can look at his expression, talk to you, hug you, shack your hand, and soon... right in front of you?

For US singer, he’s the first that I talkedto him side by side.

As a Breeze Magazine team member, I wasgiven a chance to attend the interview session in Kota Kinabalu on 17thNovember 2011, at AMP Studio where Hitz.fm, Era.fm, and My.fm are all there.Noor, the editor for Breeze Magazine was there was well. All of us in theinterview room were like thinking what to ask and say. Everyone there are niceand funny, especially when most of them thinking where should Greyson be sitting.

Anyway, Greyson Chance is a nice boy. Hehas a great sense of humour as well where all interviewers asked “Have youtried Malaysian food?” and he said that he tried the Durian and also Bambangan.I myself never dared to try Bambangan. So, I salute him for that but I lovedurian. Yums.

When we were talking about trying the foodsagain, he said “I would call my lawyer”. Then everyone in the interview roomlaughs! All of us had fun. The interview session isvery casual and it’s like friends talk.

Interviewed the Pesawat band

It’s Saturday that day and has agreed to do behind the scenes photo shots for Breeze Magazine at 3pm.

We head to the Tanjung Aru Beach in Kota Kinabalu and everything was so wonderful. The beach, the sun, the sea, the place, and of course, the people.

Beverly and I was chilling out at Aru Ba (a new place at Tanjung Aru) while waiting for Pesawat band finish up their jamming session. Everything was fine, the band are awesome too. You should check them out.

For almost 3 hours we hang out at the beach. From doing the interview session, to having fun at the beach jumping and posing all the way. It’s really funny I could say.

Well, not gonna say more. I just have to say, I love my job.

The party was awesome and amazing! Although I need to make sure the Sabahan Bloggers are able to go in to the venue safely. Well, others (about party), I don’t know how but I heard it’s really crazy partying all night long!

Well, this is my first to attend Hennessy Artistry. I had a great time meeting new people and hang out with my friends as well.

Hello to my friends and family!

What a nice day to blog when it is a rainy day out there. Cooling and chilling.

Now here’s the main point. I’m back to blogger again to share each and everything that happened in past few months and also what is going to be happening in the future. Yea, I know it’s been months (again) that I stopped blogging because of my studies. Well, need to focus in that right? Then the blog world will rock like before!

Anyways, I have completed my Degree in Leisure and Tourism Management. Oh yea!

No more studies, but hello to working life soon.

I’m gonna take two months off.

It’s because I don’t think it is good for me to take leave for my coming China vacation in October.

So, working life will be starting in November.

Music Fest is BACK AGAIN!

I bet all of you have heard about Music Fest before and I believe some of you have joined last year! Its back again in Kota Kinabalu!

Music Fest is organised by Sabah Tourism Board and Sri Pelancongan Sabah Sdn. Bhd.

Embark on a musical journey at the Tip of Borneo, Tanjung Simpang Mengayau in the northern district of Kudat. Be serenaded with classical favourites and contemporary tunes as the sun sets in the horizon. You won't want to miss this unique musical experience at one of the Sabah's most breathtaking locations.

Core Fitness X45 with Sabahan Bloggers

Remember that I said something about X45 by Core Fitness previously? Let me refresh your memory...

I was one of the 7 lucky Sabahan Bloggers were chosen to try out X45 for 3 sessions!

I’m gonna admit that I missed the 2^nd session. It’s because I have a terrible sick that day. My bad!

Well, X45 by Core Fitness will only be conducted at the brand new 2nd Core Fitness branch at 8^th Floor, Block W, Centre Point. In X45, it’s a set programme of 12 sessions and it’s a semi-private / in a group setting. Just like the selected Sabahan Bloggers (7 of us in a group). Each X45 session takes a total of 45 minutes of workout sessions. Anyone who signs up with X45 will be trained under the capable instruction of Eiji Low and Kirksman Teo.

Let’s see what we have learnt on the first day shall we?

First day of X45, we have been taught by Eiji (he loves to say 'always smile and everyone really smiles haha), one of the personal trainers there in Core Fitness

Eiji Low has 10 years of weight training and exercise experience, and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist® (CSCS®), a US-based certification issued by NCSA for professionals who design and implement strength training and conditioning programs for athletes in a team setting. He is also a Personal Trainer certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and has worked with clients from all age groups, and has experience working with boot camp programs and competitive athletes. His personal mission is to assist people in achieving their fitness goals and enhancing sports performance for athletes.

Kirksman is always by our side just to make sure we are okay and do the right movements! Kirksman Teo is a former powerlifter turned weightlifter, who also happens to be an International Business graduate from MMU. However, he later pursued his true passions and studied weightlifting, gymnastics and bodyweight movements under coaches from China, Bulgaria, Georgia and Russia.

Eiji Low was our trainer for the 3 sessions from 13th – 17th June. (Met him once at Twestival KK!)

DAY 1:

Warm up: Inch-worms exercise

Workout: 1. Weight, 2. Squats, 3. Push-Ups

I love the kettlebell but it’s actually 5kg! Why.. I still love it because it makes my arms firm and nice now haha! Hey, it really works and I can see some results now since then! Anyway, this workout is to swing the kettlebell with both arms but you have to relax your arms the correct movement will be from your hips because you need to push your hip forward!

Then... Squats? Owh squats and Push-Ups. Yea we learnt that. But that’s not the one that I want to focus on. What I want to tell you that in X45, we are ought to do 3 sets of 10 kettlebell swings, 10 push-ups and 10 squats! Each of us is given a task or challenge to complete the whole 3 sets. It’s aweeeesome!

In the end... dang! I felt dizzy ‘cause I skipped my meals and I haven’t been sleeping lately. Lol and again, my bad. But it’s still fun and I’m sorry and thank you Sam, Eiji, Kirksman, and Sabahan Bloggers for making you guys worried. Then after that, Eiji suggested me to get 100plus but guess what I had? ICE CREAM! :D

DAY 2:

I missed. DANG! But I kinda know what’s been going on during Day 2 when I attended Day 3.. It kind of link... Hmmm..

DAY 3:

I remembered holding a medicine ball during Sam Tan’s Health Talk. The ladies get to use a 5kg ball, and the guys get to use 10kg balls. *evil laugh*

This is what we did during Day 3.

We’re placed in a group of two people. I love the workouts by using the Gymnastics rings because I really love to firm up my biceps. Other than that, using the medicine ball and RUN! Nah, just kidding. Crazy. LOL. We did squats with the medicine ball and lift it up straight to the top. Sounds fun eh? You should give a try! :P

Can you feel the heat?

In the end, we all survived! Chilled, chat and get a warm bath from Core Fitness. Glad to know all of them in person!

What is X45?

X45 or Xpress45 is a new fitness concept that was launched on 29 April 2011 and is the brain-child of Sam Tan, the managing director of Core Fitness. According to Sam (www.startnow.com.my/projects/X45-the-future-of-fitness) , they designed Xpress45 (or X45) as a program that incorporates best practices of fitness training with the following features:

• shorter workouts at a slightly higher intensity

• trainees always train under supervision of a qualified Fitness Coach

• workouts are programmed to focus on the 4 main physical attributes: strength, endurance, flexibility, and stamina.
• trainees train in groups to encourage consistency and fun
• uses a wide variety of essential, fundamental movements that translate well into life and sport
• setting of high standards for movement quality and fitness
• emphasizes a lot on mobility/flexibility for injury prevention and better longevity
• help people look good AND feel good

How much does it cost to join X45?

The fee is RM750 or RM500 just to get started on your 12-session Foundation Program and after you're done, you can continue to train/use the daily workouts under guidance of our training team at NO extra charge as long as you're a member.

What happens if I have to miss some sessions?

Core Fitness will be conducting a new batch of X45ers every month, therefore no one will miss any sessions even though they miss a week due to a busy schedule. This is because they still can join the next month’s foundation sessions that they have missed out on earlier.

Can’t believe for what I just saw once I checked my email just now. Yes, its 10 minutes ago!

I’ve been selected by Sabahan Blogger to try the new X45 at Core Fitness. Located at lots W12 and W13 on the 8th floor of CPS Tower Center Point, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Core Fitness has developed a new training program called XPRESS45, which is designed to maximize results, motivation, and value for money for all our clients. So, in short we call it X45. The meaning of 45 is in 45 minutes that this will be done.

It’s been a while since I last blogged.

Well, life been busy since I’ve joined the beauty pageant but still, I love it! I mean, it’s good to be busy right better than nothing to do and slack at home haha.

So, I’m gonna cut it short and give a quick update for you guys.

IPEX Fashion Show was held on 23^rd April 2011. It was actually an International Property Exhibition. The fashion show was a blast I can tell you this. Before the fashion show, we had photoshoots and I have to help Richard N. S. as to coordinate the models. Great experiences I’ve gained during those times when I’m with him. Well, anyway, here are some of the pictures that the students of Pine Academy took during the week!

Wow! What a busy week!

First of all, Happy Chinese New Year!

Well, I’ve been busy for preparing Chinese New Year.

Repaint rooms and do some chores continuously for three days.

What a good exercise I had BUT my body hurts soooo much!

I need a massage. Care for me please? Haha!

By the way, this is what I had for my reunion dinner and we have it at 6pm just now.

I know it’s kinda shocking why that early? This is because, the earlier you have reunion dinner, the prettier or handsome your next generation will be! Believe it or not? Gonna see it when I have my children!

GRAZIE Italian Restaurant

There are getting more and more restaurant now in Kota Kinabalu and for this Italian Restaurant is located at Wawasan Plaza called Grazie.

Its a little place and good for chilling’ and hanging out with friends and family.

The owner of Grazie is also the chef with his own recipe. Plus, great atmosphere dining at the Terrace and that feels so good!

If you really want a quite place, Grazie is it. Romantica!

Hair show by Inspiration Alan Saloon & Academy on Miss Borneo Beautiful Finals

I have been told to post this activity that I did on November.

So sorry that I didn’t have time to update what’s going on that month.

I hope it’s not too late and this is it!

I must say, this is my first time to do a runway and it’s a hair show by Inspiration Alan Saloon & Academy on 10th November 2010. It is also the final night for Miss Borneo Beautiful 2010. Before this and after my pageant competition, immediately I have been invited to be a makeup model and others (I’ll tell you about it later yea).

On that night for our very own television company TV3 recorded the whole programme. It’s massive! Everybody from Inspiration Alan Saloon and Academy is nice. They taught us how to walk, how should we pose, and they were with us whole day through the rehearsals. Plus, they put lots of efforts in their shows. Most of all, they are really funny and friendly!

What healthy means to you?

For me, I think it is really good to get concern on our health for our future. Health is important.

Take less fast food, drink more water.

Like what I do always, yogurt and walking are my important sources to be healthy!

Never be afraid to eat healthy because health foods are not boring. Just that you need to make your meals interesting! I do put strawberries on my bread (cut it to love shapes) just to feel delighted! Or even for my yogurt, I do put raisins. It’s healthy!

As I was doing the test, some of the questions really under my expectation and somehow I’m happy that I am good in health!

Maybe you should try to take the test as well.

Chili's

Is everyone loves Chili’s or it’s just me?

Basically, it’s my first time to dine in Chili’s. During my years studying in Kuala Lumpur, nope I have not tried Chili’s yet.

This happened in KLCC PETRONAS Twin Tower.

We have to wait for 20 minutes to get a seat. Once we are in Chili’s, wow. I mean, I love this place because of the environment. My cousin and I were imagining ourselves experiencing ‘Diner Dash’ in real life! Told ya, it’s really my first time.

Caucasians are all around and some handsome dude gives a smile as well. Aww. Lovely.

All dishes are quite in a very big portion and we ordered few to share.

Getting towards the end of December

Hello everybody.
I know it’s been a while that I blogged.
Well, I’m gonna update you guys for what had happened this few months. Yes I know, its months.

Now the stories go.

What am I doing now?
Well, I’m having a short holiday now. Staying at home and thinking what to do to earn some cash rather than just staying at home doing nothing. I’m sorting out my stuffs and plans for some small stuffs. So you’ll be seeing me updating my blog! =D

My Education Journey?
I have graduated my Diploma in Tourism Management from INTI College Sabah in mid August and I had my graduation ceremony at INTI International University in Nilai Kuala Lumpur last month, November. It’s exactly a week holiday for me to go Kuala Lumpur and I met most of my friends back in Tunku Abdul Rahman College, relatives and my lovely housemates as well. Shopping is the all time favourite interest in Kuala Lumpur. Now, I continue my studies in Pine Academy. Hope everything will be fine there. Although Pine Academy is not as big as you think but the people there are friendly. Lots of laughers around.

My Love Life?
Hmm... This is a hard one. For now, I wanted to focus in the things that lead me to my future. It’s too complicated now because I don’t know. It have been started since 2008 that I have less interest with Aldrich for his behaviour and he did not improve himself for such a long long time as what a boyfriend should do. Maybe what I have on my mind is different now or maybe I have too many things going on. So just keep it cool. Moreover, there’s this guy ‘N’ appeared which is just a dream but I chose to love him silently and just wait for the future to come. One said, “If he’s yours, he will be yours”. Hope you love it and now, we stop and all the best to you. I’m thinking to create another blog regarding this. Just thinking.

Pink Pilates

Pink Pilates is a new event happened in Kota Kinabalu on 2nd October 2010!

It’s an event which merged together by Kinabalu Pink Ribbon with KK Pilates (the place where I have my Pilates classes) and I could say it’s a good beginning for every one of us to have a Breast Cancer Awareness!

It’s unbelievable that there are LOTS of participants attended in all ages! Plus, I’m really happy to see that all who are in Kota Kinabalu are really supportive and aware what is happening as to take part in the Breast Cancer Awareness.

Month of October, oh PINK, You rocks!
We should do this more!

It’s good to blog again!

This time, it’s all about PROJECT AWARE!
I hope most of us know about this event but if you don’t, it’s my pleasure to explain ;)

First of all, please click here to visit Project AWARE foundation website.
Project AWARE is an international event that will be held yearly! Everyone can participate in this event as to care our environment!

Borneo Divers Training Institute (BDTI) held the Project AWARE Campaign in Mamutik Island on 25th September 2010. Plus, our Minister of Tourism & Culture and Environment YB Datuk Masidi Manjun will officiate the program and launched the Go Green "Plastic Bottle Reduction" campaign!

As the ambassador, Miss Nature’s Guardian appointed by Borneo Divers, I will like to say thank you to Borneo Divers for hosting me in this event and I'm glad that I took part in this! I feels like home when I see all the instructors. Really love them a lot and really really thank you for teaching all of us! I hope to contribute more in protecting our environment.

There are about 200 people participated in this Project AWARE Campaign and a total of 811.5kg of rubbish was collected from three islands on Project AWARE! 290kg at Sulug Island, 61.5kg at Mamutik Island, 460kg at Manukan Island! Happy that we collected all those rubbish under water!

Every time when we are falling,
Blackouts and emptiness appeared.
Your brain is trying to catch up with your body,
But failing miserably at it.

Unsure of what this should be,
Or we just get use to this relation?
I don't want to face the stream of disarray,
Emptiness and aimlessness that lies ahead.

There is an unknown ends looming ahead,
Whereby it's rather hard or easy.
My heart just feebly tags along,
Trying to appear determined.

No matter what happens in life,
I still have my doubts.
I feel nostalgic yet distant,

Open Water Course Day 2, 3, and 4

Every day, we ought to gather at Sutera Habour Marina Jetty at 8.30am. So on the first day when I reached there, my oh my I can see lots of tourists were walking around and I’m trying my best to find “Borneo Divers” booth because I only knew Sea Quest. Then, I saw the others and they were just sitting there, waiting for the rest and the boat as well.

Mamutik Island is our learning and diving spot. It only takes about 10 minutes to reach to the island and that is my first time to go Mamutik. To tell you the truth, I only went to Manukan Island and Gayana Eco Resort. No worries, I will be visiting more islands when I can effort a short trip. Well, my ride on the boat was awesome and I just love it when the easy breezy wind blows when I reach the island. I saw lots of tourists were playing around, having their sun bath, snorkelling as well as diving too.

When you walk along the port to the ground, lots of little fishes were actually underneath the walkway and there are making a circle. Borneo Divers spot is right at the corner where we need to walk about 2 minutes and there are few tables and chairs surrounding. Sometimes we just chill out, chit chat or even singing there and lunch will be served.

Every day of classes, we get to learn what we have learnt in theory but it’s in the water and this is all taught by Mae but the last day Collin was the one who taught my group for the compass. We get to learn how to set up our own equipments, how to take off goggles and wear it back, change regulators, breathing, hand signals, and more until how to wash our equipments and diving suits after each use. And mostly, how to walk like a diver haha. So we spent most of our day in the island until 4pm then on 21st July 2010 we are all certified! Check out the pictures and pictures do tell everything! First day of class, I remembered it was on 18th July 2010.
We are there to learn all about theories. What are the hand signals while diving (because we can’t talk in the water!), what are the do’s and don’ts, what are the differences between each equipments, lots more including the health requirements to the side effects/ sickness that caused by diving (if, we used the wrong method), and more.

So basically, I think this is an important class because without this we might not have an idea what we need to be aware of to dive. On the other hand, diving is really fun. So, make sure you put efforts and listen to the first class during the course!

This is the moment of fear that I actually need to wear a white tube and swimwear for photo shoot!

Well, it’s true that I did this kind of thing that a professional photographer was shooting my pictures. Posing, style, hmm ... all that. I don’t really know how and I just do my best for every shoot. If you can see, my expressions were kind of, shyyyy. Haha! Well, first time. :)

So, this is the results! It is all taken on 17th July 2010.

Not bad huh? I’m shocked when I saw these pictures because I never think that my body shape changed! Do I sound horrible? Haha! I’m just happy when I see the results because it seems like I’m no longer the ‘big size’ one! Almost actually but I’m happy because I can see my efforts and commitment in this event.

7K Sunset Charity Run in action

Oh yea where I gonna start?
I remembered before the pageant week... Okay, let’s start from here!

Before pageant week, I remembered that I did blogged about the 7K Run right?
On the 10th July 2010, Sutera Habour have this 7K Sunset Charity Run. That day I was sick and I want to do something for MBTQI. So, I decided to go and I was there with my family, and I manage to meet Abbey and Marie. That day was the second time that I met Marie. At first, I was all alone and luckily Abbey called me and ask whether am I in Sutera. So, this is why three of us run together! :D Running with them was fun and I get to laugh non stop when they started to talk.

68kgs went to 58kgs within 7 weeks!

Before Miss Borneo Tourism Queen International 2010 Audition, I have lost 2kgs.
I have forgotten how I lose weight at this moment but I took lots and lots of Pilates classes in KK Pilates Studio with Regina. Classes are really good for me and she really helps me a lot to prepare myself for the beauty pageant. She’s really a supportive friend and teacher to me.

After Audition and Before the Pageant Week, I have lost 5kgs.
Cassandra Patrick told me to avoid taking rice, and I did. At the meantime, I changed my appetite to half vegetarian. For about 3 weeks and 4 days, I have lost approximately 5kgs. Not to forget about Pilates too every night! But in between those days, I did took some Lamb Chop, Pizza Hut, things like that too because of celebration haha! What do I take? I cut down my portions and to eat healthily! Simple at it is! And for me, I love to add some creativity on my foods. Check out the pictures!

Breakfast or Lunch (This can be taken at both times either breakfast or lunch):

Wholemeal bread + Lettuce + Tomatoes + Ham/ Tuna

Oat + Honey/ Fruits

Dinner:
Fish and Salad or Fruits

Not to be too happy because my friends really shocked that I can lose weight within a month. So, they said, “You slim down really fast, means that you can gain weight fast too!” So, beware! Everybody’s body type is not the same thou. In between, Cassandra told me that I can go for CORE Fitness to work out and it’s for free. Really thank you Cass and to CORE but I only get to go few times because of my schedules.

During Pageant Week, I have lost 2kgs.
For real, I eat anything that I could but I still eat under control. I tried to take salad instead of Lamb Chop or Steak even though it’s tempting when I saw someone did actually order it when we all shared few dishes together ;) Every day during the pageant week, we tried to wake up early with basic make ups and took our breakfast at Tanjung Ria Cafe, Hyatt Regency Kinabalu. I really love the Coco Crunch and almost every day I had it after my first try. Not only that, the croissants and buns are nice, fruits are delicious especially the dragon fruits. What I do, I tried to avoid oily foods. I remembered what Stella Matilda told me, “Take fruits or juices before taking your main dishes” and I listened.

For me, I sometimes couldn’t eat less but to eat more because I knew that I need energy to practice and to go on with the daily activities. Stay healthy is what important. With that, stresses are what we had so I think that makes me lost weight during the pageant week. Haha. Lunch and dinner sometimes at Mosaic but still we also had our dinner at Cock and Bull, Jesselton Point because that is the official restaurant for this pageant.

After Pageant Week, I have lost 1kg.
I really scared that I would go back to basic. So, now I am 59kgs and I just couldn’t let it go back with a 6 in front. Maybe, plus a little stress in life and a mission to go 55kg. Haha! To tell you the truth, I eat lots after the pageant week. For real! I ate Lamb Chop, KFC, Lamb Stew, Chicken Cordon Bleu, and I ate rice! Haha!

That’s all for my lose weight plan and I hope this really helps and inspire for those who wants to lose weight because it really works on me without taking any pills or slimming tea, anything! Just in case, this is what I want to tell you guys. First, must have a positive mind. Don't care what other people said that you are big or whatsoever because I did received harsh comments from the others before, during and even after the pageant weeks. For me, we must love ourselves and our body because our body listens to us. And I could tell you this, a lot of people have been talking about me for my body shape and my waistline. Well, I just have to admit that I have a 29 inch waist (now 28 inch hehehe and before, you don't wanna know it haha) but I am there to prepare myself and to improve myself. Yet, I prove it because I am Chloe :D

I am who I am and the most important part in ourselves, is our inner beauty. The heart.

Hello again to all readers!

I’m back again to blog and I’m so sorry because I just gave myself a short holiday after the pageant week for Miss Borneo Tourism Queen International 2010! I know it’s been about 2 weeks that the competition ended (7 August 2010) but yeah I’m taking my sweet time until today, I wanted to share it all and continue blog as usual :D

Again, I’m back to my normal life BUT with some titles (Miss Nature’s Guardian, Miss Charity, and Miss Popular-7077 votes) that I’m holding right now. No worries, because I will be telling you all the stories and my experiences in the beauty pageant!

To tell you the truth, one of the reasons that I skip blogging this few weeks is because of Aldrich. Yupes, he is back from Sarawak and I wanted to spend some time with him after the pageant week because he felt lonely *ohhhh~* that I’m too busy for the pageant and for college. Anyway, he’s now back to Sarawak again for his studies. So, I started to blog again!

Well, short holiday for me is quite satisfying haha because I get to eat some of my favourite dishes after the pageant. All those lambs, lamb chop, lamb stew; hmm... so far, I think that’s my heavy dishes. Not to forget about KFC which I had on the day after the competition. Will blog about this to a day to day story! Stay tune!

Hmmm… I update late again! Nearly to a week!
Well, remember that I told you guys about the photo shooting on 7 July 2010?
All of us meet together around 2.30pm and I reached there about 2pm to prevent late!

But there is a big surprise! Hmmm…

Size M to Size S! Not bad huh?
I can’t believe that I’m wearing Size S but it’s only a T-shirt. I should challenge myself to wear my old jeans. Haha. So, all of us changed and there we go! Meeting everyone there and there are children who we will be taking pictures with. They are all sweating and tired *pity* specially the one with red T-shirt! Very very cute boy! He stands with me and keep sweating! Hehe… I put my hands at his shoulder and he looked at me with his round round eyes. CUTE!!!

10th 7K Sunset Charity Run

Ever heard of this?

I did joined for the previous years back in my secondary school years but then when I moved to Kuala Lumpur I did not join anymore because of the dates that I am still in KL. Always clashed! This time, once again I am going to run for Charity!

Surprisingly, mommy going to run as well with her Girl Guilds friends and so as my sister as well. I'm kind of worry of my mom because she didn't really run... normally. Housework she's the best in that but running? I'm worried.

In addition, this few days I did train myself in Core Fitness and somehow I can feel that I walk faster after I trained myself. Haha!

Apart from that, the finalists of Miss Borneo Tourism Queen International 2010 (Sabah) will be having a photo session for this 7K Sunset Charity Run today! I'm quite nervous! *huh huh!* and mommy done hers with her Girl Guides friends yesterday!

Wish today will be a great day!

After a long awaits, the day has come!
Both Cassandra Patrick and Stella Matilda went to Sarawak and found the semi-finalist. Then, it’s time for 10 finalists!

This happened on 30 June 2010 midnight.
The result is out about 1am and I am still awake that night. Then, after I knew the results, I CAN’T SLEEP!

Wanna know how I feel after the day of audition?
I was still on bed that Sunday morning and I used my cell phone to online. Omigosh. The first thing that I saw is my sister who posted my pictures in Facebook by link! Then I knew about the whole thing just happened! Thank you very much. Oh ya, and two of them even post it in Twitter. Those weeks I still maintain as a low profile because still have to wait whether I am in for the 10 finalist or not. :D

Hello family, friends, bloggers, and readers! EVERYBODY!

I know it’s been so long that I have update! Sorry for that and I’m so going to tell you what had happen in the past few weeks since it's official now!

Well, it happens on 19 June 2010.
There is an audition for Miss Borneo Tourism International 2010 in Hyatt Regency Hotel and yes I went there and try my luck.

Once I am there, I thought nobody is there but I saw Stella Matilda at first then Cassandra Patrick! They are so friendly and I feel really warm when I saw both of them. They are really pretty and really admire them a lot. Okay, let’s cut it short because I have to update like three or more tonight! I don’t know! Haha!

This is it! When I went back at 2pm, everyone started to take pictures by the professional photographer Benny. Started to talk to everyone there but not all... I didn’t get to talk to everybody because I was nervous and barely know how to pose. Yes, I’m worried. But, lucky the photographer Benny taught me how.

Then, once my name was called, I walked in. Looking at Cassandra and Stella sitting there, I AM NERVOUS! But then, I don’t know why I have a strange feeling like, really warm in there. So, cool down just a little bit but still nervous because they are really pretty! Haha! So, I introduced myself, questions and answers sections and the talent show. After that, all we do it to wait for the results.

Everybody needs to walk in together because it’s time for results! But before the results, everybody get a chance to introduce themselves again. 8 ladies only are going to continue to the next level and the others can’t. Well, I was in shocked when they called out my name that I am going to continue to the next level. So, this is considered as the 8 semi-finalist in Sabah. Then, both Cassandra and Stella are going to Sarawak to find 8 more ladies to be in the 8 semi-finalist in Sarawak.

What is the reason that I have been chosen?
It was true that what Cassandra said in the end. Haha and I totally agree with her.
“…….. but you need to control your diet la!”

So, I need to work out in that!

Well, we went back there again late afternoon.
I know, I know it’s too much! I think the waiters are afraid of us. Haha!

Me - Mango Cheese Cake (RM8)

Mango cheese cake is really really good! The cheese is smooth and the mango is thick! As for the sandwiches, I think it's better to eat it when its still hot. Cock and Bull use better quality bread which is the wholemeal bread for the sandwiches. So, it is healthy! Tuna Sandwich (4.5stars) and Club Sandwich (4.0stars). Don't know why I love Tuna than the Club Sandwich. Maybe because of the mayo right? But it's really worth for the Club Sandwich because really lots of meat!

Cock and Bull

This morning I have test which I think I did not do well because I didn’t study well last night due to some reasons. Well, after the test (I only have one class today, yay!) I went to the management office for a while to disturb a while. Then Jenette suggested Cock and Bull for lunch and we did! Peggy joins us for a while before her class.

It’s my first time to step into Cock and Bull, Waterfront, Jesselton Point.

So, when I get in there, I thought if will be dark and gloomy but its BRIGHT! Table settings are fine for me but it’s a little bit hot in there. Maybe because of the weather so can be excuse. From the inside of the building, you can see Jesselton Point. There are many taxis around that area, so it’s quite convenient for everybody who wants to go there. Specially, you can walk from Suria Sabah if you want to! Well, I love most of the paints that are hanging on the walls which makes me feels like home. There are paintings of angels which I love the most and the canvas painting right behind of me.

Peggy – Mushroom Soup (RM8) Fish and Chips (RM15)

Jenette – Grilled Chicken Breast (RM21)

Me – Tomato Soup (RM8) Lamb Chop (RM19)

Mushroom soup is good which I will give rating of (3.5stars). Well, maybe because I love Gunter’s Mushroom soup. It depends on individual taste actually. For me, I don’t like it to be too creamy like Upperstar. I love mushroom soup which there is a strong smell of mushrooms. Erm.. haha!

Well, Tomato Soup (2.5stars). First sip into my mouth it was so salty! As all of us give a try, we think that they are totally using the Prego sauce without adding water. But I love that they do have lots of tomatoes in the soup and the flakes that they used.

Peggy’s Fish and Chips (4.5stars) really nice that they really use less flour unlike other restaurant such as Fish & Co. This dish is not oily at all which I really really love it. The meat is quite thick as well haha. Salad dressings are just nice! Chips, just normal.

Now comes Jenette’s Grilled Chicken Breast (4.5stars). When I tried on her dish and it feels Malaysian. I mean, it’s authentic. Maybe because of the bell peppers, I don’t know. Decorated nicely and looks mouth watering. Underneath the chicken breast, there are mash potatoes and beside of it there are mushrooms. I love the meat!

Here it comes! My dish, Lamb Chop (4.5stars) it is! Too bad there are no choices of Mint Sauce and others. It just came with black pepper sauce, so I minus two marks here haha. The lamb is quite soft and easy to chew. You will not find many fats because it’s mostly meat!

飛女正傳 is his latest movie.

Well, yesterday night we were having dinner at Ocean Seafood Restaurant.

First, we saw this beautiful lady (a Hong Kong model actually after we asked) and then I found out that she's shooting with some media. My sister told me that maybe she's shooting for some of the Food Channels. So, maybe right?

Then, my sister saw this guy and asked me to reconfirm. Then, it's really the guy from those movies. His name is 揚明, Hong Kong actor and 飛女正傳 is his latest movie.

At first, I'm gonna miss the chance of taking picture with him because both of my sisters were just passing him. :(

Really sad that time but I don't wanna miss the chance! Then... I turn around, looking at him and asked

"Can I have a picture with you?"
and he glanced and replied, "Yes sure!"
I was so afraid that he will say 'Urgh, NO' but lucky still we get the chance! The truth is, he's friendly!

So, as we were taking pictures, he placed both of his hands to me and my sister. *Felt lucky that time* because others were looking at us!

Then, now you guess what did I do?

I put my hands on his waist. LOL.

Trip to Kudat

Today is a holiday. I think its Wesak Day. Yes, it is.
Happy Wesak day for those who celebrate!

Yesterday, mommy told me to have a visit in Kudat, North of Sabah (Borneo).
So, I decided to go for a look since now I am taking this Tourism Course. (I’m quite missing Quantity Surveyor). Early in the morning at 6am I have to wake up and get ready but I think I woke up at 7am if I’m not mistaken haha. Anyway, It was only a day trip which I have visited four main places.

First, the Gombizau Kampung Madu.
Second, the Bavanggozo Rungus Longhouse.
Third, the Tip of Borneo.
Last, the Gong Factory.

So now, I will try my best to tell you all about these places!

First location: Gombizau Kampung Madu, a honey farm.

Actually, I am quite impressed and look high upon those ladies who are working in the honey farm. They are not afraid of the bees that fly around them, using their bare hands to get the honey. One of the workers explained to us about how they get the honey, how honey is formed, and so on. After that, everybody get to try on the honey that is raw without any artificial additions. It is so sweet! And you know what? All of us eat the honey by putting the honey comb into our mouth and suck the honey out without swallow it of course. The workers they told us that they do eat it like chewing gums everyday! Then, there are still a lot of left over, Teresa and I tried to finish it all.

At the time being, I do questions a lot to know more about the bees and honey. I asked one of the workers,

"Do the bees come itself?”
"No. We have to catch them from the jungle but now they will come automatically because they know this is their home.”
"There is only a wooden frame in those boxes. How does the honey formed?”
"By the team work and hard work of the bees, it takes quite a long time for them.”
"Why there are black and white colour honeys? What’s the difference?”
"It makes no differences. Just because the light colour is the young honey. The dark ones are those which are old honey because we collect it after sometime. It will taste different a little, dark one will be bitter.
"Why aren’t you afraid of the bees?”
"We get used to it and we do know the method of how to protect ourselves. If you see a bee or the bee stand on your skin, don’t chase it away rudely. You have to be friendly to them as they will not harm you. And if we saw a queen bee in the boxes, we will not touch her and will not let her fly away.

Second location: Bavanggozo Rungus Longhouse.
Rungus culture mostly from Kudat. They are famous with their long house and their handicraft, the beads. I love beads as they came with lots of colours and I asked the aunt there who is doing a necklace at that time, “how do you know which colour comes first?” and she told me, “it’s been years she have been doing beads and they knew which colour comes first in different designs.” Wow! Other than that, they did some performance for us to enjoy. An old granny with her flute but she did not use her mouth to blow, she used her nose. Incredible eh? Then, an old man play guitar as well. Dance performance by the granny and some youngsters as well. We had our lunch there.

Third location: Tip of Borneo

They said, it’s hot there and I’ll get dark once I’m back to Kota Kinabalu but I think I didn’t. Hmm.

By the word “Tip of Borneo”, you know what it means. Walk until the tip of Borneo, Northern Sabah. In fact, I think I should walk down to the tip. Haha but we can’t. It’s too dangerous. For me, if I am able to reach till the real tip, then I can consider myself had step to the tip of Borneo. Maybe one day perhaps. In the Sabah map, you can see the doggie head right? So the Tip of Borneo is located at the dog’s ear. :D

Nothing much we can do there but just to enjoy the view and sceneries. The sea water is bluish, very nice and clean! And before going down to see the tip, we came across with this manmade globe! Pretty and unique! Then the ice cream man told me that it never rains at the Tip of Borneo because it’s too hot!

Lastly, the gong place! The real name for this place is Persatuan Momogun Rungus Sabah. Sanora.
This is the place where people made the gongs and to sell. Guess what I saw once I reached? I saw a lady demonstrate how they make the gongs. Omigosh, she’s a Hercules!

Hello everyone!

I know it’s been a while that I blogged but it’s quite hard for me to blog while I’m having classes.

I would like to say ‘Sorry’ for those who I didn’t reply their comments in my blog like Kenneth Kin, RK, and more.

Tell you what.

I know I didn’t blog since New Year and classes start on the 4 January 2010 and then, I’m gone. Sometimes I’m happy because I see my visitor in the NeoCounter increases but sometimes I felt sad as well because I put aside everything in the internet and being too focus in other things but still that other thing is also important which is INTIMA. Other than that, I have 6 subjects on my hand in this semester and it’s quite tough for me to carry. Lecturers changed, the management and staffs changed, and what else is change? INTIMA.

I found out that I’ve changed my point of view in INTIMA where we really do what is right for the college and the students. After the Conference that held in Metropolitan KL which is on the 15January (Yes, I went to KL), all of us learnt a lot from there. Our thoughts and ideas as well and it’s like a battle field while all of us there. Listening to all of the complaints from different campuses, answering all of the questions that we have to respond to everyone who was there, or even we have to accept the nasty feedbacks. But still, our heart will always say ‘thank you’ to them as the conference let us grow from a tiny seed to a gorgeous flower.

So, let’s talk about my subjects. God, 6 subjects is okay to compare to 6 subjects in Tar College when I took Quantity Surveying. That is totally unspeakable. The thing is Event Management really freaks me out because there are two different courses which combined in this event and it's hard for us to really sit down and discuss. But still, calls and sms for sure is the only way to contact each other to make things done. Well, we will do our best for that. Huu.. Financial Control? Gosh, I need a tutor. XP Maybe I should really need some time and read through again. That's hard.

Anyway, no worries.

I’ll update my blog as soon as possible of what had happened on January and Febraury but of course I’ll continue my December 2009 posts because it’s still pending and I just realize it!

Had a day out with my family just to have a shopping spree!
Well, I did tried on some clothes but I really wish that I could get myself a GUESS jeans because it's on sales! Choose and choose then who knows, I can't fit in! *Don't you laugh* But in the end, I get myself a pair of MNG jeans and I likey in now still! Mom and sisters bought some from GUESS, Charles and Keith, Face Shop, and Salabianca!

So, here are some pictures where I am waiting for all of them.

Anyway, the picture (right) is where I tried a blouse in Salabianca. I just couldn't make my decision whether to buy it or not and I didn't buy it in the end because I'm budgeting for myself but my sister did bought it! =D

So, Coffee Bean or Starbucks better? It's kinda depend on individual taste. But I love both for sure.
If Coffee Bean, olala~ I love Hot Vanilla and Black Forest.
If Starbucks, olala~ I love Green Tea and Java Chip.

The last day of 2009, Aldrich and me want to get out from house and just spend sometime together. So, I just say that I wanna go to Coffee Bean because the next day, Aldrich will be going for holidays.

How to make my own Chocolate?

Yums yums.
Guess what? It's NEW YEAR tomorrow!
So, I have decided to make chocolates for Aldrich. Well, it's quite easy to do.

Now listen.
I re-cook the chocolate which use to make cakes because thats the only BIG chocolate that I've found.
But before that I have to cut the really HARD chocolate into really thin pieces.
I have to melt the chocolate and I made two different flavour. One with milk, and another one is without milk. Therefore, the one with milk is more delicious but its harder then the one without milk!

So, did you see the raisins and some sunflower seeds and nuts?
That one I use it to decorate a 'Love' shape on the chocolate!
I have made the chocolates in different sizes and I used the shaper to make cookies as a support!
Brilliant idea?

How to make bun?

I didn’t realize how HARD and how EXCITING to make bun!
Well, it’s not hard tho. Just need lots and lots of energy to make firm dough.

This time, Maria taught me again with all of her knowledge!
So, this is it!

Ingredients:
1 egg
Half pack of Yeast
100 Water
30g Sugar
30g Butter
250g Flour

So first, combine Sugar, Butter, and Egg together.
Water and the Yeast mix together in a different bowl and stir it until fully combined.
Then, put in the flour and mix it all together.
You will feel that the dough is heavy at first after combined but then it will slowly become light!

Now it’s time to tell you how to make little bun!
Spread a little butter on the tray!
Then make little bun!
But after you form a little bun shape then don’t touch it for 15 minutes to make the yeast do its work.
Bake it for about 4 minutes.

It’s Christmas and look what I get from Aldrich’s mom?

Chicken pie!!

It’s actually the first time that she gave me a Chicken Pie and it’s delicious. Extremely!! Other than that, she gave me another pie which is the Apple Pie and she said that it’s better to eat it with ice cream. I tried and omgosh, I can’t say a word but just enjoy a spoonful of pie!

We had spent our half day in the afternoon to try out the Hot Spring Water.

The kids really enjoyed, but I only able to soak my foot.

The Cottage Hotel is actually located quite near to one of the attraction in Sabah which is the Kundasang War Memorial.

So, we stopped by there at The Cottage Hotel just to have our lunch. Dishes are quite okay just that there are too many flies there which it is quite annoying but what to do? Cold places, more flies.

The kids love the environment which is cold. They manage to snap some pictures outside the restaurant and unbelievable that we saw a caterpillar!

Other than that, from here, we get a view of the villager’s house and farm as well.

Kinabalu Park it’s a place which have the most beautiful view of our Mount Kinabalu. It is clear when it is in a good weather but somehow when it is raining then unfortunately you won’t have the chance to enjoy the view. Every climber do come here and get ready because the starting point is in this park.

Well, I never get the chance to climb Mount Kinabalu but for sure that one day, one day I will climb it until the top (if I can reach). How I wish I can go but daddy said that I must have a full training before going. Yet, I still think that I’m okay to climb now as I did exercise regularly.

Ehhh.. Papa?

Kundasang Trip just for the kids Part 2

Nabalu is a place where tourist can stop by to purchase some souvenirs from the Native. It is all hand made but of course some are not. Once we reached, we took some pictures of the Crocker Range and some flowers which rarely see in the city. It’s cold here so the flowers bloom nicely and firm which also have the bright and vibrant colours.

Heading our way to Kundasang but of course, we stop by Tamparuli for breakfast. This is called the Tuaran Mee which shown in the picture and this restaurant serves the best Tuaran Mee in Tamparuli. You can even ask for ‘ka liu’ (add on) for this and it will have more meat and mee. Well, it is unbelievable that the kids manage to finish the whole plate which daddy order for add on.

Gosh.

Merry Christmas to everybody!

Today I went to Kundasang and bring along the kids. My niece and nephews and my cousin. Daddy and mommy and sister were there as well. Before heading to their place to fetch them, I started to read the card that given by the youth in Church yesterday night. The title "The Christmas Gift".

In this card, there are stories in it and I admit that I cried when I read through the pages.

Get this presents from the siblings. Haha! And it’s my first time receiving Christmas presents actually and I’m so happy when the time I was receiving it! Opppsy, Aldrich bought me something this time! Well, because must of the years I’ve been in Kuala Lumpur and I can’t come back for Christmas. I have classes to attend only until I come back for Chinese New Year then both of us can meet. Although it is just sweets or candy and cookie but it is sweet that I barely open my eyes.

Morning Breakfast with Little Niece

My little beautiful niece wanted to go for a short walk in Suria Sabah because she just came back from KL actually and that’s why she hardly can have her time in Kota Kinabalu. She’s really really pretty. But anyway, this is my breakfast today where it is located in Damai. Restaurant named Da Chen.

Dishes here are quite expensive for me but the quality and the quantity of the food is a lot! I will show you how big are my dumpling. The fillings are prawns, meat, some mushrooms. Omg. The taste of it is brilliant and of course, it’s dumpling right? So, the juicy soup inside the dumpling it’s really tasty! Better not to drop it into the soup while you are eating the dumpling because the sauce inside is really good!

Then, Aldrich and I went for dinner and we couldn’t find anything to eat that day.

We wanted to go for the lamb chop but it’s closed. So, we have no other choice but to go Pizza Hut instead.

Well, it’s because it is near and for sure open like everyday.
